This policy is written in plain language. It explains exactly what data ETUS Bus collects, why, and what rights you have — whether you are in the European Union, the United States, Algeria, or anywhere else in the world.

1. Who we are

FindApply operates the ETUS Bus mobile application ("the App"). ETUS Bus is a real-time public bus tracking service covering Algerian cities.

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), FindApply acts as the data controller for personal data processed through the App.

2. What data we collect — and what we do not

3. Legal basis for processing (GDPR — EU users)

We process personal data only where we have a valid legal basis:

4. How we use your data

Location — stays on your device; used only to center the map and rank nearby stops
Preferences — stored locally; restored when you reopen the app
Server logs — used only for technical diagnostics; never shared; auto-deleted after 30 days
Account data — used to sync favorites if you choose to register; you can delete your account at any time

5. Data sharing and third parties

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with any third party for commercial purposes.

We use no third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or data brokers inside the App. The only external data flow is standard HTTPS requests to our own API server to fetch bus positions and route data.

We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.

7. Security

All communication between the App and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
Passwords are stored as salted SHA-256 hashes — we cannot read your password
No sensitive personal data is stored in local device storage

8. Your rights

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your data
Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
Restriction — ask us to limit processing in certain circumstances
Withdraw consent — revoke location permission at any time via your device settings
Lodge a complaint — with your national data protection authority (e.g. CNIL in France, BfDI in Germany, ICO in the UK)

California CCPA / CPRA rights

Know — request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect
Delete — request deletion of personal information we have collected
Opt-out of sale — we do not sell personal information; no opt-out is needed
Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights
Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information

To submit a verifiable CCPA request, contact privacy@findapply.com. We will respond within 45 days.

All users Universal rights

Revoke location permission at any time in your device Settings → Apps → ETUS Bus → Permissions
Delete your account (if registered) from within the App: Settings → My Account → Delete account
Uninstalling the App erases all locally stored preferences immediately

9. International data transfers

Our server is located in Germany (EU) and operated by Contabo GmbH, ensuring that data is stored within the European Economic Area. No personal data is transferred outside the EEA for storage purposes.

10. Children's privacy

ETUS Bus is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU under GDPR). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us at privacy@findapply.com and we will delete it promptly.

11. Cookies and tracking

The mobile App uses no cookies, no advertising identifier, and no third-party tracking SDK. It does generate a random device identifier that persists between sessions, used solely to count distinct users in our own analytics; it is never shared with advertisers or data brokers, and is not used to track you across other apps or websites. Our website (findapply.com) uses only technically necessary session data — no advertising or analytics cookies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. For significant changes, we will notify you via an in-app notice.
